When I chose Computer Engineering during my undergrad, I fell in love with theoretical computer architecture—how memory, processors, and buses interacted. But when it came to writing raw, verbose Java syntax in my third year, I lagged behind my peers.
Yet on the other side of the spectrum, low-code environments brought pure, unadulterated joy to my fingertips. I spent late nights watching YouTube tutorials, tweaking HTML/CSS in Dreamweaver, building WordPress sites, and stitching together basic JavaScript backend logic. Watching a color change on screen or seeing a database record update through a visual flow gave me an instant feedback loop that rigid Java syntax never could.
Fast-forward to 2026, and the entire software paradigm has shifted directly toward that low-code, intent-driven philosophy.
Today, we call it "vibe coding"—expressing complex architectural intent in plain English and leveraging state-of-the-art LLMs, multi-agent frameworks, and visual orchestrators like n8n, Google Antigravity SDK, and OpenAI Codex to generate microservices.
Recently, while sitting with my MacBook building automated AI agents and speaking the language of microservices—a concept I once disliked because of syntactic friction—my sister looked at me in surprise. The child who once struggled with Java syntax was now architecting complex multi-platform automation pipelines at high velocity.

When machines scream efficiency, the human side craves presence and creative expression. "Vibe coding" is where those two worlds meet—a beautiful intersection of art, human storytelling, and technical architecture.
